Sophomoric Slump

Lost is becoming an appropriate title for the Emmy-award winning show. It's been eight days and the world hasn't been talking about the death of Shannon (Maggie Grace.) You know why? Because no one who doesn't spend every waking second online playing Dungeons and Dragons and wondering whatever happened to that Goonies reunion movie cares otherwise. It's a TV show. I'm tired of people trying to make more out of this show than what it is.
Lost is an okay show, but I feel the writers don't know where to go next. Many TV shows take years to achieve what Lost has done in its second season. I'm talking about the addition of cast member Michelle Rodriquez as Ana Luica Cortez. So far, so much has been dedicated to her character and we could care less about her. If Rodriquez was a respectable actress, she would have told the producers to go suck egg. Ana Lucia is your stereotypical Hispanic-Latino character who always must have an attitude about everything. Rodriquez squints her nose and talks as if someone if feeding her the lines off camera.
Of course, I appreciate the irony of this blog. TV shows are nothing more than 60 minutes of entertainment. I don't care what's in the hatch and all that jazz.
The show is quickly on its way to becoming the Melrose Place of this decade. And we all know what a terrible show that was.
